  • $50.00

Named after the first African-American who earn a medicine degree and whom dedicated his life to treat orphan at the Colored Orphan Asylum, the James McCune Smith offers protection for real-life heroes at the frontlines and in the medical fields. Developed and made locally within the east coast, the gowns were developed from idea to production over three weeks of collaboration with designers, vendors, and factories within PA, NJ, and NY. Each gown is made using 100% eco-friendly fabrics and sustainable processes that emit no toxic waste and harmful chemicals in the environment, and are machine washable up to 50 times.

In times where the world faces challenges, the James McCune Smith offers a sustainable PPE alternative that embraces the inclusivity and diversity in the medical workforce, while celebrating the partnership of women-owned and minority founded businesses made and sourced 100% in the USA.

The Level 1 medical gowns are recommended for use in minimal risk situations to protect against small amounts of fluid penetration, applicable for basic care and standard medical unit.
